If you want to create a force of youth environmental action in your community, then consider starting an AYEA Chapter! |
AYEA Chapters ...
- Are led by a Youth Steering Committee (5-6 teens)
- Are supported by 1-3 volunteer Adult Advisors (link)
- Are co-sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation and a local tribe, conservation or civic group, and/or school
- Follow AYEA's mission, values, and activities
- Conduct at least one environmental project or campaign per year
- Recruit local youth to participate in statewide AYEA trainings
- Sustain themselves through annual elections and leadership cultivation
Benefits of Being a Chapter

- Chapters can host local AYEA leadership trainings with support of NWF staff
- Chapters influence the direction of statewide AYEA projects and activities
- Chapters get priority access to national/international AYEA/NWF opportunities!
- Chapter projects and members are featured in the AYEA Notebook, our youth newsletter highlighting statewide trainings, scholarships, and job opportunities
