East High Recycling Club

Also known as the Planeteers, Anchorage's East High's Recycling Club was formed in 2004. Since the club was formed, we have been actively involved in not only recycling at our school, but City Wide Clean Up, State Fair Recycling and Creek Clean Up, where in 2005 we won two awards for largest group and strangest item. We have also adopted a bike path, and in the 2005-2006 school year we recycled over 2000 pounds of paper and cardboard! While working on the important issues of Recycling at the Anchorage School District's Largest School in the district, we have received the Outstanding High School Recycling Program Award from ALPAR.
